Following is a brief showcase of the illustrated backgrounds used for the yoga curriculum for children at Crejo.fun, facilitated by Rashmi Ramesh. The curriculum implements
story-telling and music to make learning yoga more engaging for children.
My job is to make sure that the backgrounds and characters used in the story-telling are as vibrant, exciting to look but keeps the focus on the facilitator who is narrating the story. Post-pandemic story-telling using digital resources makes me reminiscent of shadow puppets and kathputlis. This is an attempt on a personal level, to seamlessly bind traditional aids with digital ones and create a virtual theatre for children to enjoy.

Sometimes, just sometimes, initial sketches look pretty scary

There have been stories about big animals...
some small animals...
and some magical creatures.
